Business Unit / Department Overview Application Engineering Department based in Lagos/Nigeria are in need of experienced Senior Vertical Access Application Engineer who can strengthen our team and support our ambitious growth plans within the Oil & Gas market. Experience, skills and knowledge within Front End Engineering Design (FEED), tenders and detailed engineering design is of importance. Responsibilities Responsibilities and tasks.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Review of client specifications
  • Coordination of interfaces between downhole well control, XT/TH and the SPCS
  • Deliverables such as specifications for XT and TH, design briefs and reports etc.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations as well as international standards and relevant codes
  • Prepare design schematics for XT (production and water injection).
  • Prepare GA drawings for XT (production and water injection) including Flow Control Module (FCM)
  • Participate and contribute to design reviews
  • Review of applicable tooling required for XT installation, retrieval and testing
  • Review and validate integration of XT with Workover System and ensure required interfaces are captured
  • Coordination with other interfacing disciplines
  • Collaboration and interfacing with international engineering hubs (Norway, UK etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with Company Work Processes and Technical Standards
  • Communicate and co-ordinate on a daily basis technical issues and seek guidance from system engineering manager Qualifications & personal attributes

REQUIREMENTS

  • Professional qualification at University level in Subsea / Mechanical Engineering (e.g.MSc/BSc). COREN registered membership is an advantage.
  • Experience (7+ years) within subsea discipline from XTs, WH, TH and WOS
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience in using design and engineering tools such as Solidworks and AutoCad.
  • Experience in document management systems and document handling. Preferable in SAP
  • Fluent in English, both orally and written
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member or leader in an international working environment
  • Proficient in relating/rationalizing the selected approaches and impacts of solutions provided
  • Excellent time management and project coordination skills in order to predict workloads, and handle competing deadlines. We offer

Business Unit / Department Overview The Controls Lead Package Engineer (LPE) is responsible for the Engineering on the Controls Package level.

The LPE is the technical lead responsible for the successful delivery of all technical content, providing technical definitions and direction to each Product Engineering group. The LPE works closely with a controls project manager to ensure that technical content is completed on time and on budget.

The LPE is the main interface to the Project Engineering Team, Customer, and to other Contractors for the control system work scope.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Technical lead engineer for the Controls Package as part of the Subsea Production System.
  • Perform engineering tasks on Controls Package level in accordance to Customer specifications within budget and schedule from quotations to commissioning.
  • Review & understand Customer specification(s).
  • Discuss and agree on technical solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, support, and input to Product Engineering (coordination and monitoring of Product Engineering efforts during project execution).
  • Interface with Internal Project Team and other Internal Package Teams.
  • Interface with Customer and other Contractors (Achieve Customer approval for technical solutions).
  • Identify and highlight technical changes, variations and missing items (change management).
  • Ensure all company procedures as well as international codes and standards applicable for the controls system are met.
  • Responsible for package level documentation and testing.
  • Support quotations with regard to system layout proposal and cost and schedule requirements; coordination and review of Controls Package Engineering input.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or similar).
  • Minimum two years’ experience in leading complex technical projects.
  • Knowledge of codes and standards applicable to engineering work.
  • Persuasive communication and strong leadership skills.
  • Fluency in English language.
  • Drive for results and team motivation.
  • Experience in working with international teams.
  • Willing to do business travel (up to several weeks with an average estimate of 10-20 days per year), and in some special circumstances travel for short term assignment as projects may require.
  • Cooperation with internal and external partners.
  • Experience in application of quality tools (Design Review, Failure Modes Effects Analysis).
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Flexible and committed to the job.
  • Ability to lead multiple projects and prioritize individual work. HSE

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Review of client specifications
  • Development of structures (Manifolds, SDU, In-line-tees / FLET and riser base etc.) drawings / models for
    • offshore oil & gas projects from early phase stage.
  • Design, analysis and code checking of structures in accordance with international codes and standards
  • Deliverables such as specifications, design briefs and reports etc.
  • Integration of tie-in subsea connectors, caps, jumpers, spools, goosenecks and other subsea equipment.
  • Coordination with other disciplines
  • Participate and contribute to design review
  • Collaboration and interfacing with international engineering hubs (Norway)
  • Ensure compliance with Company Work Processes and Technical Standards

  • Registered membership is an advantage.
  • Broad experience (7+ years) from Structural Engineering of offshore structures, such as jackets, topsides, modules and module support frames
  • Experience in using design and engineering tools such as Solid Works and AutoCad.
  • Experience in document management systems and document handling. Preferable in SAP
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluency in English, both orally and written
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member or leader in an international working environment
  • Proficient with Sesam/Genie analysis tool
  • Knowledge of StaadPro and/or Abaqus is an advantage
  • Proficient in relating/rationalizing the selected approaches and impacts of solutions provided
  • Excellent time management and project coordination skills in order to predict workloads, and handle competing deadlines. HSE
